Angry Swiftroute : Where is your responsibility?

to Glennn Swiftroute :

First of all we're really sorry to make an anounce to public forum because we don't know anymore how to contact and take our data back.
our messages or e-mail disresponse , our call connect to virtual office & only said that "Mr. Gleen will be in touch with us".
and we never have talk with him even we call him to his cellphone

How it happened :
16/09/2006 :
Our Server was down
Glennn Swiftroute said : power failure. There is no spare part,have to wait while order to their vendor.
Our solution : mount hd to her running server, so we can move our data. (no respond)

Us : ask to Glennn about hd condition
Glenn : said no problem with hd, just power failure.
I ask to Glenn again to mount hd to her running server, so we can move Us data. (no respond)

Glenn : no spare part available. (i think this reason is impossible)
Us : ok, we order new server from Swiftroute & i ask Glenn to mount hd in new server

Glenn : Hardisk failed, can not mounted.
Us : What??? i ask Glenn to ship HD via fedex/dhl, and we will pay all of cost
Glenn : ask to us how much we'll pay for this HD?
Us : What??? i tell him that i'll pay all of cost(HD+ship+packaging)
Glenn : Ask Us fedex account number.
Us : What??? i allready tell him that i'll pay all of cost (All know that he can pay ship cost first then charge Us credit card)

Glenn : Your server will be up now and harddrive will be plug into yUs new server
Us : DUh? plug? in reality we can't found our harddrive. we don't want it. we need our data back soon.
Glenn : ------- >> he never reply our e-mail
Us : Keep sending e-mail and phone call but never talk with glenn lee.

Glenn : We are no longer in a business
Us : What??? are you bankrupt? Why don't you tell earlier? How Much Time we waste for something like this? What is your responsibility?

More than 3 week we in this situation, you only waste and ignored us and try to make another waste of thousand dollar for waiting and waiting?

Are you sure Swiftroute is no longer in business? To me, this whole thing is only 50% believable. IMO.

I just give myself a benifit of doubt and see how this saga goes. Since it is not the first time something like this happen to swiftroute.

I have no doubts things will happen to Swiftroute but I can't take myself to believe that Glenn said that they are no longer in business. IMO.

We Still Need our data till now.

Hello all, we all still need our data from what we dedicated on swiftroute.com, Glenn is erase their address on a website, we realize it from this case when our server is down. We need some information to take us to that harddrive because it's urgent. We already told glenn about it and it never be response of him at all.

if i could, i could post real e-mail on all our conversation with him.

What do you mean about this is not the first time ?
So a bad story like this always happen with swiftroute ?

Take this as a lesson learnt. I know the feeling as it has happened to me before by a big name webhost. Hope you have backups. Good luck

Swiftroute is no longer focussing on the dedicated server business.

What I have suggested is that we can send the hard drive back to them in Indonesia.

However, a word of caution is that, when we tried to mount the hard drive onto their new server, which we had planned for them, the hard drive failed to mount, and we brought it back to our partner, who realized that the hard drive had already failed.

It is the customer's onus to keep backups.

Why you didnt consistent with your words. You said that hardrive was OK, that's why I took your offer with the new server

This is the first time we got bad experience like this as since we started our bussiness in 2001.We always do backup, but unfotunetely for 'this' server we only have very old backup.

yes, i have been think other solutions : pack & ship the broke hard drive to me!

Until now they didnot refund due to this downtime, and the hardrive as he said did not send to us. That;s very very unresponsible ... and run the bussiness like a child

i am saying this as general and not to pinpoint anyone. As what i read about the threads in this forum, there were alot of kids running webhosting, trying to make quickbucks. The case, poh chye or something, create alot of frustration.

I just hope that these things can be avoided by being more responsible to what you do. Hosting is already saturated in sg. Service really counts, and i feel that even though ur service is down, do provide a point of contact so that clients are aware of the situation. I think they will understand. For eg, recent power failure in 1-net. It's not the hosting provider fault.

This email from swiftroute about two or three weeks before server got a problem. And I said that I dont want to sell our customers although, I rent dedicated server from swiftroute.com. So everyone know what do you think

BE A PROFESIONAL !!!!!! and Keep your straight decision ...

The addess on the contact domain is not valid, You never pickup up all the phone you provided, reply email need more than one weeks ....
