how can i receive money via paypal ?
and i have a dbs account ?
Can i move my money from paypal to my dbs ?
Do i need a CC or Debit Card for all thsi transactions ?
I'm not very familiar with paypal, but i think you need a credit card to apply for the account, and you can transfer your money in your paypal account to your bank, for example DBS.
hmm.. im not too sure about the prices for payment but in singapore, it is not recommended as ur clients have to have a credit card and then they have to look at their account statement for a "Verification Code" which could take weeks..
Some people just can't stand the wait... but for US clients, it's fine.

Paypal works via email addresses. People pay the amounts in the currencies supported and you receive the money to your paypal account (of course transactions deducted).
Yes you can move money out from Paypal to DBS. Paypal supports bank transfer to local banks but they charge a fee for each transfer and the minimum is US$25 outgoing before they will even process it.
You need a CC to activate your Paypal or you cannot accept payments nor make payments.
I have a paypal account myself and I use it ocassionally.
You'll need to have a credit card, and wait for the verification no. During this time period, you may send at most US$250. You may recieve money without any problems.
To withdraw money, there is a US$2.50 fee for every transaction. Not unreasonable, there are some CC collection services that charges >US$30 for this service.
You'll have to verify your bank account too. DBS works fine.
Hope this helps.
Good luck with your paypal. :)
My banking account, i tried with PayPal works just fine.
Do try HSBC too :) They're a good bank..

Other than POSB/DBS, I don't think there is any other bank waving the plan of interests SGD2 for bank balance of SGD500. HSBC might be a good bank but i don't think it's better thanPOSB in regard of this point as for us who don't save that much unless we really SAVE. But for me at leasts, my cash can't be hold as it flows faster than i can see.

Basically, this thread is about PayPal. But spare me going offtopic for a few moments.
Hostings: I don't think you need at least $500 inside your bank daily. What i think, they mean, is that you need to have a daily average of $500. Whether my intepretation is correct or wrong, I have no idea.

Does HSBC provide overseas transaction?or does it work well with PayPal ? Someone please clarify for me. THnx.
1. You can view your online credit card transaction history, i think it will be updated within 3-5 working days. So you can get your code there.
2. Is a daily of $500. If any day of the month the balance is less than $500, then will be charged.
3. If singapore is accepted to use paypal, i think all the banks should be able to support. Coz not all countries can use paypal.
4. In order to receive money from oversea, i need to provide the bank's(DBS) corresponding bank in New York as well as their routing number. For DBS, their corresponding bank is Bank of New York.

fred: If i did not inteprate it wrongly, we can receive money from New York via DBS's coresspondent Bank of New York ?
Yup, something like that. They will be sent to bank of new york and routed to DBS finally.

?? Huh??
You don't need to re-route the money like that. Ask DBS directly, they can advise you.

I think DBS allows people from US to deposit money straight into my account.. They have regional offices.
