My Church uses eNets and i also had a short discussion with eNets personnel but yet to go into further details discussion due to time constraint. However i would say ... try it out and who knows it might be an additonal advantages to your customer as most of them do not own a Credit Card.

You would need a certain clients base to do so. I heard and read about it somewhere that you need to pay SGD15 / month if you could not rach the minimun transaction of 10K. It's alright for this condition if you running a webhostings services but is that it's $1 per transaction i think. Not really that worth it and it seemed eNets debit is = bank transfer while eNet Cashcare needs you to buy another ware.

$1 per transactions and $15 mthly? that's rather expensive service.
Anyone tried telemoneyworld.com?

Something that i know, please correct me.

eNets cash card is troublesome, coz client need to have a card reader and ewallet installed.

eNets credit is credit card, only go live this year

eNets vcard is a virtual card, think you can refill it using bank transfer.

SGD$1 per transaction is alright i think. Paysystems take USD$0.45 per transaction + i think 3.something% per transaction.

And the $0.45 fee doesn't even require the transaction to be successful!

If you consider the exchange rate USD$1 = SGD$1.8, it's rather cheap.

We had this USD$300 transaction and Paysystems took USD$7 of it... Vultures.... :angryfire

If you're the merchant, you do have alot to pay up. I thought there was another eNets thread around with the full description?
But for end-user, you just have to pay ur bank the transaction fee.

hostings, you are right about it.

but i think enets for merchant is not fully developed yet, do you find any info for merchant at their website? no,right?

anyway, a end user can sign up three services at once.

i2u is to recieve and transfer money between i2u users.
vcard is a virtual card? being given a vcard number, dont' know how to use it.
nets credit, dont' know also. never use.

anyway, nets really makes it's product too complicated.
with so many options, and some duplicated services.

enets is not new already, how come it's still uncommom in singapore?

vcard is virtual card, something like debit card?? you have to top up first.

They just launched the credit card payment, but now they are moving into 3D secure, so lots of changes... i believe.

eNets is a good idea. But they deposit and monthly fee is just too bad. It'll leave the small and medium enterprises out of the product and leaving only limited big companies who can afford them. Their cashcard are almost a waste. Unless you're really a "cyber" person and stays home that much, you'll not spend that money and invest on that little machine. Maybe if their pricing is only for per transaction basis and no monthly min. transaction void fee, the product will thrive and i'll expect many of us here to us it.

For the cash cards, they can also key in the cash card number in order to purchase the items if I am not wrong. So next time , do not let your colleage to copy down your cash card number.

I made some enquiries at Nets previously. eNets debit actually makes use of the consumer's internet banking account (of course, then the consumer must have internet banking) to pay. Pple who are used to doing internet banking would not feel insecure about this mode of payment.

But..... I feel that the chrges for the merchant is quite high. set-up fees starts from S$400 to S$2,000. Transaction fee is 3% or S$1.50 whichever is higher. Annual fee is S$600.

wahhh.... expensive seah!

Annual fee is $600? It's $50 per month. Not alot actually if you have more than hundreds of dollars of Sales. But the setup fees are indeed scary. Unless we have a way to share an payment site with a few other company yet safeguarding each other's interest in some way.

If the cashcard is so, won't it be very dangerous? I remember going to a Cheers! stall and used my cashcard. I think the receipt shows my card number and the shop will have to retain a copy of the receipt.

Btw.. the VCard isn't it similar to the one launched in US recently as reported in TNP?

Telemoney appears to be quite costly too:

One-time set-up fee: S$150
Monthly Subscription: S$30
Additional bank charges: S$350
Transaction fee: 3.5% + $0.50 for VISA and MASTERCARD.

That all sounds like a whole lot of fees to me.

Here's the real deal.

eNETS Credit: Setup: $200 Transaction Fees: 4.5%
eNETS Debit: Setup:$400 Transaction Fees: 3.5% min $1.50
eNETS VCard: Setup: $200 Transaction Fees: 3%

Annual Fees: $450 for any one of the above services
or
Annual Fees: $600 for all three services.

What about eNets cashcard?

pacificclub
16-12-2003, 11:16
I never consider that an option, as its far too troublesome for cashcard reader (my gosh.. all my USB ports are eaten up...) and some ewallet stuff...
