Time is based on my PC time instead of server time as not all are in sync. Pacnet test failed a couple of times due to timeout and 404 errors so it's a little late.

Anyway, apologies for the multiple posts. It seems the word w*g*e*t is banned on server level so it caused my post to fail due to internal server error a couple of times. Didn't realise till after splitting my posts.

Currently, there is problem with hop 202.157.128.57. This being Webvision's router.

Indra, VP Network of Webvisions is currently investigating into the matter.

Problem has been resolved.

There was an attack on one of the servers which resided in the same Vlan as us.

neorder
13-04-2005, 20:49
yep, now is much better, i get about 250k.

salmonella

mmm... shared vlans...

Glenn
13-04-2005, 21:10
Yes. The attacked server, not in our rack, has been taken offline and is now undergoing investigation.

The timing was just bad, that you guys had to do the speedtest when b/w was at it lowest. Not lowest in bad connectivity but due to the attack.

Feel free to re-download the file and let me know your speeds again.

5 megabytes per second when he has a 10Mbps port? Say these things clearly...

On another note...
Netherlands, 100Mbps :

03:06:30 (107.80 KB/s) - `/dev/null' saved [8520221/8520221]

So perhaps Webvis constrains him to 10Mbps local, 1Mbps international? Hmm...

Glenn

Salmonella,

I do not have a 1 Mbps international cap.

Alright :-0

Do you think its possible to do a test from your PC and intermedia against as the previous tests were done at a wrong time?

Yes, that's from HK, seem my other day's testing was wrong, but I still do see 450KB/s or around >3Mb/s dl from our server to your file. Probably it's proxy.
