Hello, Invisions seems to be mighty feature packed. phpBB on the other hand looks very soothing and relaxing on the eyes. The theme included with phpBB is very nice :)

Plus phpBB has many hacks available to enable you to edit/add many more extra functions. I have personally used phpBB, not invision yet.

Invision's layout looks very busy though.

I would definetly say phpBB3!!

It is the BEST phpbb ever and l00ks excellent :)

Anyone wanting a free solution i say phpBB3 is it! (With IPB a runner up)

Its not. But its in beta i think. Tried the beta but it looks too confusing for newbies who want to set up their forum.

Anyway, ipb isnt free right? So as vbulletin. I wonder why it appears here when the thread title says "free forum to use".

I prefer smf. Simple and quick. With no security compromised. :)

Last time IPB is free, think when it's version 1.2 that time.
If wanna use free bulletin board, use phpBB.

My point is PhpBB as a whole with all its versions, it is widely used I still agree.
