View Full Version : ARGH!! my uplinks reseller server is down, help!

I do not know what number to call and the server with over 40 acounts is down since 6pm just now and i've sent numerous emails with no response.
What can be the problem? system crash or major reboot?

Reboot dun think that long unless it is doing fscking......ur provider dun have any emergency number to call? Perhaps call the datacentre see if they can help u check.
Just a suggestion - dont send "numerous emails", 1 should be enough to let them know theres a problem and then they'll check it out. The more you send it doesnt help.....

it can be anything, like they are sleeping?? Well, you have choosen them, either stick with it or get a better supplier.

u will have to care if your customers comes nagging at you... this is your disadvantage as a reseller... you can only wait for the issue to be resolved... :)

Lesson learnt is that should try to get a phone number (even if the provider is in the US or elsewhere). If not then at least a fax number. In such situations, sometimes your ticket/emails can lost because everyone is panicking and sending tons to them. In your case, it seems that they dealt with it alright. But monitor their uptime and if you cannot afford to have this happen again, you might need to move to somewhere more reliable.
