View Full Version : Any sponsor?
We've been running a SG movie fan club for more than 2 years. We had a domain sponsor but the sponsorship will end in July 2004. Without a domain, our website won't be accessible by public (as we do not have other URL to point to our files on the host server).
Our website was about one of the SG box-buster movies I Not Stupid, and recently evolving into a website with greater coverage. We have 666 members, more than 30,000 messages posted and more than 500 pictures uploaded. We have unique visitors per month of at least 2,000+ and at max, so far, is 11,000+.
We're a group of kids and teens keeping the fan club running so we can't afford to pay for any expenses. We're now looking for someone who would pay for our domain for at least another year. Please sponsor us if you could. Thank you in advance.

Hope you don't take offense with the below:
Surely you should consider posting the current URL so that potential sponsors know what they're supporting? Or at least invite people to PM you for the URL... Although I'd imagine that such a fan club would be too pleased to gain additional publicity about its existence.
Are you asking for a sponsor without offering anything in return? Or are you willing to add a banner, email footer, forum sticky/post, or anything else?
Now, having said all that, I think com/net/org domains are decently cheap, and I have unutilised funds in my domain registration accounts, so I could be interested... But more info sure would be nice.

You have 666 members, even a donation of $0.10 is more than enuf to renew your domain.
Are you looking for a Host sponsor or just domain sponsor?
Is therr a URL we can have a look and consider your request?
I had merged the two thread as they are the same.
Are you reqeusting hosting sponor as well? It seems like hosting fee should be alot more significant than domain itself.

Likely only domain. Hosting sponsorship is quite easily available since its not something substantial that you need to fork out if you're a provider. However, domains can't be provided the same way, that's probably why he's asking.

Do post your existing url so that interested sponsor can have a look of what they are actually sponsoring and also do some research on the benefits of sponsoring.

You've got a PM!
I'm sorry. Our website is at http://www.jteenz.net/ . I will put up links back to your website. We're looking for a kind sponsor who is going to pay for the domain without really thinking of returning profits. In fact, the website is run by kids and teens for kids and teens, we would hardly click any advertisement shown. So the link is a way, and the only way, to express our gratitude.
We need only a domain name and have the domain name pointing to our current host which is actually a free host as well. It would be great if we could continue using this jteenz.net domain after its expiry in July.
Do pm me for sponsor hosting.

Ya. Our previous sponsor is from the US. I can't directly access to the domain settings so each time I need to tell him for any changes. I don't know how can I renew it. I hope once my current domain expired, my new sponsor will re-register that domain. Is that possible?
I don't think its possible the registar will lock your domain for a certain period before it release to the public.
Looks like you have put up neonhq as a domain sponsor, please tell me if this request still open.
Thanks NeonHQ to sponsor us. And thanks everyone for helping as well :)
