Something screwd up my PC & i think its MSN!

I've been having problems with testing my scripts locally on my PC. I am currently creating a classifieds script using ASP and is testing it on my PC. But after downloading and installing the latest MSN. It screwd up my IE6. I cannot view my locally tested site..example http://localhost/myweb/default.asp..if you know what i mean...
Anyone had this problem b4? :twisted:

No I don't know what you mean.

Can you describe what is happening that constitutes "problems"? "Screwed up" isn't an error message IE will display. What exactly do you see on screen?

Thanks for your concern.

IE will display "cannot contact server".
Anyway just 10 mins ago, I solved the problem.
I tried to unistall and reinstall PWS..but to no avail, then I "look around: in IE's Tools-> Internet Options-> Connections and disable connect through proxy server for LAN connections.
Apparently when I installed MSN, it reset this setting by choosing to look for proxy for local addresses. :lol:

Good you are learning the fine skill of troubleshooting. Always check step by step. Start with layer 1 onwards and verify each layer is well and working. You will eventually isolate the cause, if not solve it out right.
