View Full Version : PP, UA, TOS, TOU, T&C
Well, are there big differences in these things ? So many and so difficult to differentiate ....
PP - Privacy Policy
UA - User agreement
TOS - Terms of Service
TOU - Terms of Use
T&C - Terms and Conditions
and many more ....
Care to discuss your view which is the standard ... or all are standards ?

Each agreement covers a different aspect of legality.
PP = Confidentiality of all forms of data, communication
UA = Probably something like AUP (Acceptance Use Policy), where you define what can and cannot be done by the user
TOS = Defination of the terms that the service (webhosting or whatever) is liable for, eg. "For webhosting, we are liable to provide you with this, this and that"
TOU = Same as UA or AUP, the terms and conditions on what the user is allowed and not allowed to do
T&C = General terms and conditions, briefly touches on the legal aspects. Most providers only have this, when you go higher up the ladder, you'll introduce more of the others you mentioned above.

Nice one there Heng Chai! These terms enriched others who are unfamiliar with it.
