From what i see Dreamweaver MX is the colaboration of Dreamweaver 4 & UltraDev 4. At least that's what the makers say. Plus they added cool features like JSP & ColdFusion. It makes one pretty cool tool to have.

Would you use Dreamweaver MX to build applications? I thought it's only largely a design tool. I'm currently learning Dreamweaver 4. Better late than never.

Dreamweaver MX is created with the application developer in mind. And MX can be used as a "design" only tool should you decide not to use it to build applications.
And for those who are building applications, its great how the creators make it so easy. Plus you will be able to preview your works b4 loading them to yr server.

And best of all MX doesn't try to change your codes should u "open" a file with it unlike "some" software. (I guess u guys know which one im talking abt.)

Hi I have been using DMX and I just love it. At first I'm not too good with PHP and now after using DMX I think it increases my knowledge of PHP. Actually, there are so many type of applications you can create. With little knowledge of PHP. When you use the default extensions like the server behavior, you can do insert, delete, update, select. The main 4 query that the whole web base apps are based upon. DMX can also let you connect to MSSQL and activating the stored procedures inside.

I propose that anyone wants to learn PHP or even ASP or JSP, you should try DMX. Also there is a great site that everyone should subscribe to it's www.dmxzone.com
