Telnet is different from SSH.

Telnet transfer everything in clear text, including username and password, while SSH will encrypt information before sending.

I'm using putty as ssh client also.

the client from SSH.Com is very cool
I simply love it ...

I used to be using Putty but its a little restrictive. Now with the new SSH.Com - I'm their biggest fan.

I am using Putty when I am on windows but seldom use it already since I hardly use windows. Currently I am using RedHat or FreeBSD :)

I don't have the site for the program of SSH i am using now. However, it's called something like BotSinc. I can't recall clearly but i'll find it out and post it. It's SSH, and even the FTP is also from SSH. It'll be very similar to Windows Explorer, and for the SSH, you can even save the account information in the program itself to save the hassle.
