i think any kinda sign up form is ok until u can serve your customers well and good on time with good support :)
you can also use normal asp/php scripts with database and make ur own forms and scripts with auto-responder !!
phpmanager is getting old...!!

Well, before I decided on PhpManager, I looked through quite a few of these billing softwares. I'll try to list down all I can here :D

1. MorderBill - Expensive but powerful. Starts from $99.95 for 100 users
Some users say it's overly-complex
http://www.modernbill.com/home/index2.htm

They probably realised it was expensive and started a "Leased License"

2. ClientExec
Very good looking piece of software. Spoke to the creator of it and was willing to let me have it for $49.95 plus a 10% discount. But wasn't ready when I needed it. I think there's still the pre-release version at $49.95 available.

Else it retails at $99.95.
http://www.clientexec.com/

3. WHM Autopilot
Seems very good!
too bad I found out only after I bought PhpManager. :angryfire
http://www.whmautopilot.com/
For $149.95 now.

4. PerlBill
Can fight with modernbill and i prefer it over to Modernbill. $199
http://www.perlbill.com/

5. FREE NiXT whmManager
Free!!Whm and billing manager
I couldn't get it to work (maybe i'm dumb) Not the most beautiful one but hey! it's free!! http://nixt.org/

6. Billing Orchard.
Powerful online tool. Works but kinda ex too.
http://www.billingorchard.com/

7. PeachTree
Never tried it before.
http://www.peachtree.com/

8. QuickBooks
A client who works in an accounting firm suggested to me QuickBooks pro. I took a look and it's very powerful and user-friendly. But the price is kinda like a killer... Saw it at challenger but the price is around $400+. http://quickbooks.intuit.com/qbcom/jhtml/home.jhtml?cr=1

9. Cydock
Never used before. Heard from others that it's not as good as PhpManager
http://www.cydock.com/

10. Ubersmith
Very very very solid product. Simple interface but with many features. But has a $100 setup fee and $39/mth fee.
http://www.ubersmith.com

11. PhpManager
V1.01 is stupid. I'm using it now and it kinda sucks. Have to manually copy and paste to create custom packages, custom payment forms, etc... All customisations has to be manually done. I bought it for the purpose of getting V2 when it comes out. But for $50 its ok.
Take a look at V2. It has a pretty interface http://www.phpmanager.com

I'm sure there are more but that's all I have visited. :D

To customise, you will have to edit the order.inc file in the ..\templates\theme\ folder.

Have to know abit of php tho... bur after that it should be alright. And the other one would be the css file. This will determine the background colour and font size, etc

yeah, basically that's all what i've known too.
but i always like perlbill. it should be my final desition.

actually if ppl know how to use cpanel, they don't need modernbill or WHM autopilot.

so many products, but just there is no prefect one...
i am on developing website, how about domain registeration, anyone know how to integrate eNOM API with any credit card processing system?

There's this domain registration package called DRAMs. It integrates with eNOM pretty well i think. The price is rather reasonable too.

Take a look here:

Is there any even simpler panel for other kinds of organisations other than webhostings? I'm trying to find some kind of panel which allows me set usernames of an account and datedues. Whenever the datedue is up, then it'll kind of highlight that account name to notify me. When i delete that account, the account name and info will disappear and delete and when i renew by 1 means 1 mth, the date will increase by adding on 1 mth, if 2, by 2 months but as well allow me to do manual change just in case. Even the better, it can create sub panel by having a hyperlink on the account name and let me see the information like what item this account has bought, what email is it, the payment record?

Hehe .. seems like I'm asking for a customised system panel ..
But some of the function was actually created by a friend of mine and i was using it all these while. Too bad he's going off soon. But is there such kindof a system?

Well, I tried their demo and it really isn't very powerful as you might expect. If you're looking for a simple interface with not many features, it would be perfect for that task. Simple and user-friendly.

I actually decided a long time between phpmanager and CE. Made a wrong choice by going with phpmanager. :angryfire

I'll be waiting till the end of Q1 to see if the new phpmanager V2 will be as good as it's touted to be. If not, I'll be getting MB. Or whmAutopilot. I talked to the creator of whmAutopilot and from what I see, it's good and has lots of features. Also, he's willing to give me a good discount plus some freebies. :D

The only thing lacking would be the helpdesk, domain registrar support and a cool interface by PixelBrick:eeknew:

PHPManager v1.1 is currently very rubbish - no offence - Just my personal opinion. There's hardly anything i can do with PHPManager except for creating accounts, ticket support. Perhaps that's all.

No offence taken. In fact, I totally agree with you. It's been pure crap for us till now. Wish I had went for MB straight away instead of trying phpManager. Wasted my money.... damn...:angryfire

Anyway I've got the feeling it won't be launched at the end of Q1 as they claim it would.

neoorder, have you bought MB yet? Still deciding between MB and whmAutoPilot. Not sure which one to use. I did a survey among my clients and they all choosed MB hands down. Lol... I think a pretty interface really is a big plus.

If you used MB, mind sharing how you find it? :D

i tried the domo too, on overall it's quite easy to install, but it take times modify to suit your site.

the order form is not so good IMO. other ppl say MB is working on a better order form. but i just try to make my own one lah. yeah...

It's complicated because MB has tons of extra features built in. Hence the steeper learning curve. I played around with the demo, took me quite a while to figure out the features and stuff. Compared to the shitty phpmanager, it will really really take a long time to have everything setup and figured out.

The whmAutoPilot is tempting not because of the features (mb beats it hands down) but because of the price and the freebies thrown in for me by the creator. This includes some customisation to my site and such. Hmmmm..... :dunno:

Yeah...
But you can get smaller licenses to suit smaller client bases. For us, probably gonna get the 250user license. That's if we decide to go with mb.
